Inspiration: Razzle Dazzle Camouflage *Click to Read More
Dazzle Camouflage is a form of Camo that was used in WWI on ships to keep them from being easy targets for torpedoes. Artists (Camofleurs) were hired to design schemes used that would distract range finders from being able to detect speed, distance and direction of their targets.
Since you cannot easily hide a huge ship, dazzle camo used very visible high contrasting colors curved and even zig-zag lines to confuse the person operating the rangefinder which had a very limited spectrum, so you can imagine what this thing looked like through a periscope.
Throughout history 'razzle' dazzle camouflage had gone on to also inspire art paintings, fashion and other forms of media, and now a geocoin.
